4 perish in Maguindanao fire

MAGUINDANAO --- A Moro father and his three children perished in a conflagration that razed five houses in Sultan Kudarat town before dawn Tuesday.Chief Supt. Graciano Mijares of the Police Regional Office-Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao identified the fatalities as Daemus Araneta and his children, Vina, Dagul and Mujahid.Dagul and Mujahid were elementary grade pupils while Vina was in Kindergarten school yet.The victims’ house in Barangay Katuli in Sultan Kudarat, Maguindanao was one of five houses hit by fire at about 2and00 a.m. Tuesday.Araneta’s wife is a contract worker in the Middle East, according to Mijares, citing initial feedback by the Sultan Kudarat police office.The municipal government of Sultan Kudarat has assured to extend relief support to the families of the fire victims.
