North Cotabato gov't mourns passing of Bing Tuburan Jr

KIDAPAWAN CITY --- North Cotabato provincial government today expressed sadness over the passing of former Vice Provincial Governor Jose Segovia Bing Tuburan Jr who tragically did not survive a major operation at the Southern Philippines Medical Center in Davao City.He expired t 6:30 in the evening Sunday. He is 70 years old.Tuburan died at the Southern Philippines Medical Center in Davao City. We in the Provincial Government of Cotabato grieve over the unexpected passing of a man who has served this province well, both as a private citizen and a public official, a man of unquestionable integrity and with a heart for selfless service, North Cotabato Gov. Emmylou Lala Mendoza said.tragically did not survive a major operation at the Southern Philippines Medical Center in Davao City and expired at 6:30 in the evening of July 23, 2017, she said in a statement. It is no doubt a big loss to the Province of Cotabato, she added.Tuburan, a businessman and banker, a farmer, a family man and an active member of the Church, served Cotabato as former OIC Mayor of Pres. Roxas. He later served as OIC Vice Governor of the province and was subsequently elected Vice Governor until 1995. He was also appointed as concurrent Resident Ombudsman for same period. His passing may have been untimely, but we can rest in the knowledge that he has lived his life fully in service to you and to the people of Cotabato, a life not in any way wasted, but lived in fulfillment no doubt of what His Creator made him to be.
