Speeding multi-cab kills 10-year-old boy in Kidapawan

KIDAPAWAN CITY -- Police here filed on Monday reckless imprudence resulting to homicide complaint against a driver of a passenger utility vehicle who allegedly hit and killed a 10-year old boy while heading towards Poblacion here, on Friday.Authorities identified the victim as John Karl Guiling, Grade Four pupil from Kilometer 116 in Barangay Paco, here.He just embarked from a tricycle after his class when the incident happened.Reports said the victim was about to cross the street when a speeding multi-cab driven by a certain Danny Villasor, 46, of Barangay Amas, also this city, hit him.The victim was rushed to nearby Madonna General Hospital here but an hour later expired due to severe head injuries, hospital staff said.Villasor voluntarily yielded to authorities.The vehicular accident involving Guiling was the fourth incident since Monday.At least five motorists were injured in three separate vehicular accidents that transpired along the Kidapawan-Davao highway.
