While praying, 15-year-old boy killed by stray bullet in Marawi City

MARAWI CITY – While performing the Friday noontime prayer inside a Mosque in this war-torn city, a 15-year-old boy was killed after he was hit by a stray bullet from
cal. 50 sniper's rifle at about noon today.The victim, Abdillah
Dimang-Ampong Masid, is a 6th grader of Datu Saber Elementary School
in the city. He was buried at 3 p.m.
today.
His parents
told reporters they were performing the Friday noontime prayer when a bullet
hit him in his left ear. He died on the
spot.
A lone bullet from a
sniper’s cal. 50 hit the boy. It pierced
through a concrete wall of the Mosque.The military said it is investigating the incident and took custody of the cal. 50 slug for ballistic examination.
