Three dead in freak North Cotabato motorcycle crash

NORTH COTABATO --- Three Moro men riding a motorcycle together instantly got killed in a strange accident Thursday in Pigcawayan town in North Cotabato.The fatalities, Mokalidin Salem and his cousin, Adil Salem and companion Ali Arbah were on a motorcycle that tumbled thrice after its front tire hit a fragment of broken stone with jagged edges and exploded. Perhaps the one who was driving the motorcycle was driving too fast, said Superintendent Romeo Galgo, Jr., spokesman of the Regional Police Office-12.Investigators from the Pigcawayan municipal police said the victims were on their way home somewhere in Barangay Manuangan from the nearby town proper when they figured in the accident. The highway was clear from any other vehicle at that time. It was a bizarre accident, said Chief Inspector Reilan Mamon of the Pigcawayan municipal police.The three men died on the spot after they were thrown away to different directions and landed on the concrete pavement head first as their motorcycle tumbled repeatedly.
