Cops eye grudge as motive in killing of passenger van driver, barker

COTABATO CITY - Police authorities in Sultan Kudarat are looking at personal grudge as the motive in the shooting of a Davao City-basedbarker and van driver on Sunday morning.Senior Insp. Esmael Madin, Sultan Kudarat town police chief, identified the vicitms as passenger van driverKenny Dimalilay Esmael of Datu Paglas, Maguindanao and Melo Florentino Zael, 57 of Tacurong City, barker/dispatcher of UV Express in SM Ecoland.Madin said Jane Vicelles, 30 of Lebak, Sultan Kudarat was wounded in the shooting that occurred at past 9 a.m.Police said the passenger van was heading to Cotabato City from Davao City and upon reaching Barangay Limbo, Sultan Kudarat, one of the passengers armed with a hand gun shot Zail in the head.He also shot the driver to stop the van and hitting Vicelles in the process.The gunman fled on foot.
