More CCTV cams up in Kidapawan City

KIDAPAWAN CITY - To help prevent criminality and record events happening in public places here, the Kidapawan City government is installing more close circuit TV cameras in pubic places. Psalmer Bernalte, Kidapawan City Public Safety Division chief and city spokesperson, said the installation of more cameras was part of Mayor Joseph Evangelista's priority agenda, ensuring the city is safe from lawlessness.Bernalte said the CCTV cameras had been proven effective in crime prevention and eventual arrest of crime offenders.Among the areas where CCTV cameras will be installed are the surroundings of the city hall, the city plaza, mega market, overland terminal, BJMP jail facility, among others.
