GenSan maintains title in SRAA 2015 South Cot still runner up

KORONADAL CITY - The General Santos City Athletic Association sustained its winning streak in the recently concluded SOCCSKSARGEN Regional Athletic Association (SRAA) meet. The city bested eight other divisions of the Department of Education (DepED) in region 12 when it garnered an over-all point score results of 629.8. General Santos City has been a consistent topnotcher in the SRAA meet since 2012. The South Cotabato Athletic Association (SCAA) which maintained its post as first runner up in the SRAA meet 2015 garnered 624.70 points. Crispin Soliven, DepEd South Cotabato Schools Division Superintendent, congratulated the athletes of General Santos for duplicating its feat this year. Despite settling for first runner up, I am happy with the performance our athletes, I know they did there best, It was just a five point lead in favor of the host division,” Soliven told Radyo Bida Koronadal. The North Cotabato Province with its 387.70 points was declared as second runner up, followed by the provinces of Sarangani with 228.5 points, Koronadal with 202, Kidapawan City with 198, Sultan Kudarat with 180.2 and Tacurong City with 67 points. Winners of SRAA meet will represent Region 12 in Palarong Pambansa 2015 in Tagum city in May.
