SoCot employees will have P30k Christmas bonus

KORONADAL CITY -South CotabatoGovernor Daisy Avance Fuentes announced that employees of the provincial government will receive performance enchancement incentive (PEI) on Thursday or more known as Christmas bonus. Fuentes said regular employees will be receiving P30,000. Job order employees who has rendered one year service in the provincial government will be receiving a maximum P7,500 PEI intended for them,” Fuentes said. The confirmation was done by the governor after the provincial board approved the granting of Chrismtas bonus to regular and casual employees of the provincial government. The Sangguniang Panlalawigan determined that they have enough savings intended for the PEI and the Capitol is financially capable to give the said benefit. To ensure that the Christmas bonus will be enjoyed by the employees, they will receive it in the form ofcash and not through automated automated teller machine (ATM). Fuentes pointed out that at least 90 percent of the provincial government employees mortgaged their ATM cards. We will not deduct tax from your PEI, but you will be responsible for it if in case the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) will ask for it,” Fuentes told the provincial capitol employees.
