2 'habal-habal' drivers shot dead in Cotabato City

COTABATO CITY –
Two men working as habal-habal” drivers were shot dead by still unidentified
gunmen along a highway hereWednesday dawn, police said today.
Senior Inspector
Reynaldo Delantin, chief of Cotabato City police station 2, identified the victims
as Satar Tambas, 18 and Dagul Ali, 18, both residents of Barangay Bagua Mother,
Cotabato City.
Habal-habal”
is a motorbike used as passenger transport vehicle.
Delatin said
the two were riding on two separate motorbikes when two men, riding on separate
bikes too, were seen tailing them.
As they
reached along Sinsuat Avenue corner Pansacala Street, they were shot 14 times
by the suspects using cal. 45 pistol. Empty shells were recovered at the scene.
Delantin
refused to reveal possible motive for the killing.
