Tampakan couple dies, 2 others hurt in road accident

KORONADAL CITY -- A 50-year-old security guard and his 49 year old wife were killed in a motorcycle accident in Tampakan, South Cotabato, DXOM-AM Radyo Bida reported Monday.Killed in the 9 a.m. incidentwere Edgar Uayan, 50, security guard of Farm Together and his wife Elsa, 49, radio operator of LGU Tampakan, South Cotabato.Two others were injured after the couple's motorbike collided with a tricycle along a dirt road in Barangay San Isidro Monday morning.Police identified the wounded as Joshua Mazo, 16, student of Libertad National High School and Lerra Paclibar, an employee of Spring Radio Tampakan.Mazo and Paclibar were on board a tricycle driven byJingle Luceda, 37 of San Isidro, Tampakan.Initial investigation showed that the tricycle was loaded with 20 sacks of corn from Barangay Liberty when it collided with a motorbike known as habal-habal.
