KORONADAL CITY - South Cotabato will be spared from the feared strong El Nino phenomenon, disaster officials said.Cyrus Urbano, City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (CDRRMC) action officer, told DXOM-AM Radyo BidaKoronadal that Pagasa has delisted Koronadal City and South Cotabato in areas that will likely experience dry spell later this year and early 2016.Urbano said the province and this city have been experiencing regular rainy days contrary to earlier prediction by the state weather bureau. However, Urbano quickly added that there's no reason to celebrate as the weather today is really difficult to predict. As precautionary measures, he said the city CDRRMC has prepared programs to cushion the impact of dry spell, if ever it hits the province.Urbano advised farmers to continue the correctschedule in planting crops.
