Armed men snatch 3 Canadians, Pinay in Samal Island

DAVAO CITY (PNA) -- Police are pursuing unidentified men who abducted two Canadian nationals and a Filipina at Ocean View Resort, Island Garden City of Samal,Davao del NorteMonday night.Police identified the victims as CanadiansJohn Ridsdel, Robert Halland Kjartan Sikkengstad, owner of Ocean's View resort.Capt. Alberto Caber, the regional military spokesperson,said four unidentified armed men stormed the Ocean View Resort at around 11:41 p.m. and snatched two foreign guests and the resort’s owner, and a woman employee.Police reported that personnel from Island Garden City of Samal and the Davao del Norte Police Provincial Office are conducting hot pursuit operation to rescue the abducted persons.Land, air and sea search and rescue operations are on going.
