Gunmen shot, hurt Cotabato City 2 pedicab drivers

COTABATO CITY
– Despite police and local officials' efforts to contain the rash of gun-related incidents, two men were the latest victims of
the spate of shooting incidents here.The victims, one of them a 75-year-old man, were lowly trisikad drivers.At past 6:50
p.m. Friday, unidentified gunmen shot and wounded two men in Arong Village, Rosary
heights 4, Cotabato City, police reports showed.

Police
identified the victims as Consejano Hagimit, 74, a resident of Arong
Village and Justine Rey Munoz of Barangay Rosary Heighst 7, Cotabato City. Both were trisikad drivers.”

Hagimit
sustained a gunshot wound on his arm while Munoz was hit in his abdomen from
cal. 45 pistol.

The victims
are now confined at government hospital while police are yet to determine the
motive and identities of the attackers.

Last week, a spate of shooting incidents left several personsdead and wounded, including a village councilman.Police believed the motive of these incidents were personal grudge and drug related.
