Maguindanao IPHO intensifies drive vs. dengue, malaria

COTABATO CITY -- The Maguindanao Provincial Integrated Provincial Health Office (IPHO) has intensified drive against the deadly mosquitoes that cause dengue.Speaking over DXMS Radyo Bida, Dr. Tahir Sulaik, Maguinanao health chief, said special attention is given to the upland town of Upi due to rising cases of dengue.Sulaik said information campaign is intensified from barangay to municipal level and to public schools.Two fatalities were recorded due to dengue since January.Aside from campaign against dengue, provincial health providers also turned their eyes on malaria cases by distributing special mosquito nets that drive away dengue and malaria carrying mosquitoes.
