S. Cotabato outstanding disaster councils get awards

KORONADAL CITY - The provincial government of South Cotabato has recognized and awardedoutstanding village, city and municipal disaster councils as the National Disaster Consciousness Month ends.The Tupi MDRRMC bagged the top prize as outstanding municipal and citydisaster council and get P30,000 cash. Coming in second was Koronadal City which received P25,000 reward and T'boli MDRRMC in third place, receiving P20,000 cash prize.Best Barangay DRRMC-Rural Categorywent to Barangay Cebuano, also of Tupi town. Second place was awarded to BarangayKatipunan of Sto. Nino town and third was given to BarangayBenignoS. Aquino of Noralah, South Cotabato.Barangay Edwards of T'boli won the BestBDRRMC-Urban Category and coming in second was Barangay Lapuz of Norallah and third, Barangay Reyes of Banga town.Winners in both categories for first place received P20,000 each, P15,000 for second and P10,000 for third prize winners.These local government unitswere chosen from11 municipal and city governmentsand 199 barangays in South Cotabato.
