Tacurong exceeds tax collection target
TACURONG
CITY – Massive information drive and aggressive collection
activities of this city’s Treasury Office led to positive results as it
exceeded its targeted local revenue collection, officials said.

P. Batchar, Tacurong City Treasurer, said from January to Nov. 16 this year,
the City Treasurer’s Office (CTO) has collected Php92.3 million revenue or a
collection efficiency of 101 percent as compared to its Php91.4 million target
during the same period.

said the collection represented Php43.3 million for local tax revenue and Php49
million non-tax revenue.
Batchar
said that tax collection from businesses in the city posed little to no
hurdles, but collecting from real property taxes needs a bit more support from
the people.Tacurong
City Mayor Lina Montilla has urged cooperation from the constituents to pay
their real property taxes as soon as they are able.
She
lauded the City Treasury Office for a job well done but quickly reminded them
that collectors should not be satisfied with the achievement.
