Suspects in beheading of farmers in Parang, Maguindanao yield
PARANG, Maguindanao --- Police
authorities here have considered solved the beheading of two farmers last month
following the surrender of three suspects who admitted to the crime.
Supt. Ibrahim Jambira, the Parang police chief, said have voluntarily surrendered to the Barira town
police office and were turned over to Parang PNP on Sunday night.
He identified them as Malik
L. Kumayog, 22, Unasan M. Mawarao, 24, and Kamlon B. Hadjigani, 23 all residents
of Barangay Paggao, Barira, Maguindanao were voluntary surrendered at Barira,
Maguindanao.
They admitted that they
were the ones who beheaded farmers Cesar Fermin and Jaybob Bestas on April 28,
Jambiran said.
The victims’ heads were
found in a remote village in Barangay Liong, Barira, Maguindanao the day after.
Relatives have cried for
justice when the two farmers were laid to rest last Friday.
With the surrender and
admission of the suspects, Jambiran said the case is already solved.
Appropriate charges have
been filed against the suspects.Jambiran lauded the local leaders of Parang and Barira and the Barira PNP for helping solve the puzzled that claimed the lives of two farmers.He said the suspects did not reveal why they committed the crime and opted to do so in court.
