South Cotabato gov't worker arrested for incest

KORONADAL CITY -- A South Cotabatoprovincial government worker has been accused of allegedly sexually molestinghis two daughters, aged 14 and 16, police here said.The 45-year-old suspect was arrested Friday afternoon on the basis of a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Renato Tampac of Regional Trial Court Branch 25 in Koronadal City.Senior Supt. Barney Condes, Koronadal City police director, told DXOM-AM Radyo Bida that the suspect, arrested at about 3 p.m. Friday while on duty, is now detained at Koronadal City PNP lock up cell.The Notre Dame Broadcasting Corporation ( and//www.ndbcnews.com.ph www.ndbcnews.com.ph ) online newsportalwithheld the identity and the home address of the suspect to protect his family members.Radyo Bida learned that the suspects wife is an overseas Filipino worker and he was left to take care of the children. The suspect remained innocent of the charges unless proven otherwise by competent authority.There were alsoreports that one of the two girls was allegedly on her way to motherhood but it could not be independently confirmed by Radyo Bida.He is facing incest charges.
