SoCot village chair arrested for gun possession
KORONADAL CITY – A village chair in an upland town
in South Cotabato who is in the narco-list of President Duterte was arrested by
police agents Wednesday morning.
Chief Inspector Aldrin Gonzales, speaking for police
in Region 12, identified the arrested official as Pudi Udasan Ambalgan,
chairperson of Barangay Upper Sepaka, Surallah, South Cotabato.
The 54-year-old village official did not resist
arrest when elements of regional, provincial and municipal police operatives
presented him three warrants for violation of Republic Act 9165 or dangerous
drugs law and RA 10591 or Illegal Possession of Firearms and Explosives.
Seized from Ambalgan were two cal. 45 pistols with
bullets and Cal. 30 Carbine rifle and ammunition.Based on the police after operation report, no prohibited drugs were seized during
the serving of search warrants but it said Ambalgan was in the high value list of the
PNP.
