Polomolok cops hunt down 4 men in pawnshop heist
POLOMOLOK, South Cotabato - Police authorities here have launched a province-wide manhunt against four men who robbed a pawnshop inside a supposedly well-secured Gaisano Grand Mall Wednesday morning.Supt. Joedy Lito Guisinga, Polomolok town police chief, said the mall close circuit television cameras have captured the faces of four suspects who robbed Dalton pawnshop of jewelry and undetermined amount of cash.The mall opens at 10 a.m. but four men were seen at 9:30 a.m.suspiciously waiting for the mall to open.As the mall opens, two ofthe suspects entered the mall through Mercury Drug store which has through and through doors going to the mall.Once inside, the two declared hold-up to surprised Dalton pawnshop employees. As soon as the suspects hauled the items, they immediately fled and fired one shot to Lordie Boy Losano, a K-9 bomb sniffing dog handler and fled using two motorbikes.The motorcycle drivers served as look out in front of the drug store where the suspects also used as escape route.Guisinga believed the suspects belonged to an organized robbery gang preying on pawnshops in South Cotabato and Gen. Santos City.The pawnshop has no CCTV cameras but the robbery were captured by the mall CCTV.
