PhilHealth launches new benefits, services and tie-ups

MANILA - PhilHealth
as a government owned and controlled corporation mandated to administer the new
Medicare Program continue to innovate in response to its members’ needs. With this statement, the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) has launched programs that benefit members.Dr. Anthony Leachon, PhilHealth board member, said during a news conference in Taguig as PhilHealth celebrates its 22 anniversary this year, that PhilHealth is one with President Duterte's desire that all Filipinos should be given best health services. We cannot afford to wait for our members to lodge their complaints because of our poor services. We are with the President in his dire effort of providing the best service to the Filipino people, Leachon said.With various private entities present during
said event, PhilHealth launched new
benefits and services and announced tie up with the Department of Education and
(Dep-Ed) and Philippine Alliance
of Patients Organization (PAPO).

The new benefit packages include hearing,
visual and mobility impairment and developmental disability for handicapped children.

These packages provides professional
assessment, diagnostic tests, devices and rehabilitative therapies which will
soon be made available in contracted facilities with specialized services forbenefits intended for children with
disabilities.

New services include All Case Rate app or ACR
app and Interactive Voice Response System (IVRS).

The ACR app is now available online and can
also be used offline once downloaded into mobile phones.

Members using this app could determine the
total benefit package he/she may avail from the level of facility of his/her
choice.

The IVRS can be utilized by calling PhilHealth
Action Center (02) 441-7442. It is available to members 24/7 except during system upgrade or
routine maintenance.

Through IVRS, members will know their PhilHealth
Identification Number (PIN), status of payment and benefits. It will also
provide access online services for e-registration, Health Care Institution
Portal, Electronic Premium Remittance System.

Philhealth’s partnership with PAPO, on the other hand, was meant to gather patients’ commonly
asked questions for PhilHealth to answer and record for the IVRS.

PhilHealth's partnership with the academe is for

through Music, Arts and Physical Education (MAPE) subjects.
