PDEA-ARMM torched illegal drugs, shabu

COTABATO CITY - Officials of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (PDEA-ARMM) were destroyed by burning in Cotabato City Tuesday, officials said.The burning was witnessed by local officials and the media.More than P6 million worth of dangerous drugs and methamphetamine hydrochloride were destroyed byfireDirector Felimon Ruiz of PDEA-ARMM said the destroyed stuffs include shabu, expired drugs and marijuana joints seized during various operations in the city and Maguindanao.He said these items, torched under the destruction of
dangerous drugs evidences program of PDEA-ARMM were part of the haul during drug buy bust and during anti-illegal drug raids.Before the actual destruction of evidence, PDEA agents held a brief talk to prove the seized items were genuine prohibited substance.This developed as PDEA-ARMM vowed to intensify campaign against illegal drug trade in Cotabato City and its environs.In South Cotabato, anti-narcotics officials said most of the drugs seized and confiscated in various drug buy bust operations came from Cotabato City.
