PDEA agents arrest 5 in anti-drug operation in Koronadal City
KORONADAL CITY
– More than P150,000 worth of prohibited drugs were seized when agents of the
Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in Central Mindanao conducted
anti-drug operation that led to the arrest of five drug personalities Friday.
Despite
massive campaign against illegal drugs, persons still venture into clandestine operations,
selling illegal drugs in the city, according to PDEA-12 regional director Gil
Cesario Castro.
Castro said
nabbed for possession of shabu were Roy Oligo, Abet Sarip, Leonel Pastolero, Ruben
Pangatihon and a minor, all residents of Purok Gracia Villa, Barangay Zone I,
Koronadal City.
Aside from
shabu, the raiding team also seized dried marijuana leaves and drug paraphernalia
from the suspects.
The raid was
covered by a search warrant issued by Judge Oscar Noel of Gen. Santos City Regional
Trial Court Branch 35.
Now detained
at PDEA-12 lock up cell, the suspects are now facing charges for violation of
RA 9165.Meanwhile, in Surallah, South Cotabato, police arrested a couple while in the act of sniffing prohibited drugs in Sitio Morales, Barangay Centrala at past midnight Friday.Inspector Redeen Crisologo, OIC chief of police ofSurallah PNP, identified the suspects as Johnny Pajarito, 22 and Kristine Morales alias Sweet, 30.Seized from them were three small sachets of shabu and drug paraphernalia.
