THE TROPICAL DEPRESSION EAST OF VISAYAS HAS ENTERED THE
PHILIPPINE AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY (PAR) AND WAS NAMED LUIS.”Eye/centerand
At 4and00 AM today, the center of Tropical Depression
LUIS” was estimated based on all available data at
1,050 km East of Virac, Catanduanes (14.0
°N,
135.0°E).
Strengthand Maximum sustained winds of 45 kph near the center
Movementand Forecast to move West Northwest at 30 kph.
Forecast Positionsand Tropical Depression LUIS” is expected to be
at
660 km East of Infanta, Quezon by tomorrow
morning and at 40 km North of Tuguegarao City,
Cagayan or 50 km South of Aparri, Cagayan by
Sunday morning. By Monday morning, it is expected
to be at 640 km West of Itbayat, Batanes.
Estimated rainfall amount is from 7.5 – 15 mm per hour
(moderate - heavy) within the 400 km diameter of the Tropical
Depression.
The public and the disaster risk reduction and management
council concerned are advised to take appropriate actions
and watch for the next bulletin to be issued at 11 AM today.
