P100K reward up for arrest of Kidapawan rape suspect

KIDAPAWAN CITY – A P100,000 cash reward awaits those who could help authorities arrest a 27-year old hardware store employee who was suspected of raping and killing on Sunday his three-year old cousin, in a barangay here.Kidppawan Mayor Joseph Evangelista announced the bounty on Wednesday through their official local government unit (LGU) page at and//www.kidapawancity.gov.ph/ www.kidapawancity.gov.ph .Evangelista said he wants justice for the death of Ella Bueno, cousin of the suspect identified as Rene Montano Bueno, who, at this time, remains at large.The girl’s body was discovered in a grassy lot just few meters away from the suspect’s house at Barangay Singao, here.Ella’s mother, Grace, in an interview, said the suspect took her daughter when she was not around the house, noon of Saturday. Grace, at that time, was at a neighbor’s house for a birthday party.It was only later in the afternoon that they started to look for the child. When we could no longer find Rene, I felt something was wrong, said Grace.Finally, they found the girl’s body, Sunday dawn. The victim sustained head injuries and on her private parts, the mother said.Evangelista said the identities of those who could provide the LGU and the police details as to the whereabouts of Bueno for his immediate arrest would be protected and considered highly confidential.Meantime, netizens from Kidapawan City had posted in their social media accounts photos of the suspect in the hope of finding him and have him pay for the crime he committed.One of the posts came from a group of netizens on their Facebook page, I Love Kidapawan. The page has around 63,000 members and followers.
