Old woman dead, 27 hurt in Aleosan hi-way accident

COTABATO CITY- A hitchhiker was killed while 27 others were injured when a speeding bus rammed a farm tractor with a trailer full of passengers before hitting a big mango tree in Aleosan, North Cotabato on Friday.The Aleosan municipal police said investigators are still trying to determine the identity of the fatality, who was one of the passengers of the tractor-drawn trailer.The victim, a woman whose age could be between 70 to 75 years, did not have any identification card or a residence certificate that could help policemen determine her exact identity.The Weena Bus that collided head-on with the tractor was bound for Kidapawan City from Midsayap town in North Cotabato.More than a dozen passengers of the ill-fated bus were injured in the collision, now undergoing medication at a hospital.
