New Midsayap PNP chief vows to rid AOR of illegal drugs, peddlers

MIDSAYAP, North Cotabato -A newly
designated police chief here has vowed to rid this town of illegal drugs and
persons engaged in illegal drug trade.
Supt. Gilbert Tuzon, who assumed Tuesday as new town
police chief here, said he will continue and intensify the programs of his
predecessor, Supt. Reynante Delos Santos.
Speaking during turn over ceremonies, Tuzon admitted
the tasks on his shoulders are quiet huge but vowed to do his best to address
security issues facing Midsayap, the most progressive town in North Cotabato.

Tuzon, former chief of PNP Public Safety Company
based in Cotabato City, has designed security plan that will be implemented 24
hours by the local police with the help of police multipliers.
Tuzon was among the four police officers reassigned by
North Cotabato police provincial director Supt. Alexander Tagum to effectively
maintain law and order in four towns.
Tagum directed Tuzon to make Midsayap a safe place
for all people.” Specifically, he
directed the Midsayap PNP chief to contain illegal drug problem.
Supt. Bernard Tayong, North Cotabato police
spokesperson, said the reshuffling was a regular police event to improve law
enforcement.
Re-assigned
were Chief Insp. Elias Colonia of Matalam PNP Chief Insp. Maria Joyce Birrey of
Makilala PNP Supt. Reynante Delos Santos of Midsayap PNP and Chief Insp. Donal
Cabigas of Pigcawayan PNP.
Chief
Insp. Sonny Leoncito replaced Chief Insp. Colonia as Matalam PNP chief. Colonia assumed as Makilala PNP chief
replacing Chief Insp. Birrey who was moved to the police provincial office.
Senior
Insp. Jerry Melocotones, formerly chief of Aleosan PNP, has replaced Chief
Inspector Cabigas as police chief of Pigcawayan PNP.
