New LPA sighted east of Mindanao
COTABATO CITY (Sept. 15/NDBC)– While Typhoon Luis have arrived with less impact and left Monday to West Philippine Sea, the state weather bureau said a low pressure area (LPA) was spotted east of Mindanao.But Jori Loiz of PAG-ASA said the new LPA was still outside the Phillippine Area of Responsibility (PARA).Loiz said the new LPA has the potention of becoming another weather disturbance for the country while it is still reeling from the effects of Luis (international name Kalmaegi).Loiz said the new LPA is still very far and forecasters could not say as of yet if it will develop into a typhoon and enter the PARA.
