Most wanted woman in illegal drug trade, 3 others arrested in Sto Nino town
STO. NINO, South Cotabato – A woman listed as No. 1 most wanted person engaged in illegal drug trade was arrestedalong with three others in a police anti-drug operation here over the weekend.Chief Inspector Joel Fuerte, Sto Nino town police chief, who personally led the operation, identified the suspects as Farida Buisan Ambalgan alias Bai Itum, Joemar Faelman Fieldad alias Peraw, Macky Tugay Malimblang and June Jay Calanza Cabantud, all residents of Barangay Ambalgan, a known illegal drug district in Sto Nino.Fuerte said the raid inPurok Bagong Lipunan, Barangay Teresita, Sto. Nino, South Cotabato on Sunday dawn was covered by a search warrant issued by Judge Marlo Brasales of 1st Municipal Circuit Trial Court of Norala, South Cotabato. Police recovered from the suspects nine sachets containing illegal drugs and other shabu paraphernaliaCharges for violations ofRA 9165 o Dangerous Drug Act of 2002 will be filed against the suspects today, according to Fuerte.It was in the village of Ambalgan that the police seized about P25 million worth of shabu early this year.
