Mlang indigents get livelihood from DOLE-12
MLANG, North Cotabato, (Sept. 16/NDBC) --It’s early Christmas presents for 126 beneficiaries of livelihood program here as the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE)-12 has turnover their start-up capital to Mlang local government. Regional Director Ofelia Domingo, DOLE-12 chief personally released the check amounting to P1.7 million to Mayor Joselito Pinol, who represented the 126 beneficiaries,in a simple rite at the agency’s regional office in Koronadal City. The beneficiaries were residents of various villages in Mlang that submitted their business proposal to the LGU and their desire to avail the livelihood program from the DOLE. Mayor Joselito Pinol said the beneficiaries will received up to P15,000 start-up capital depending on their business proposals submitted to the screening and approval committee. However, Pinol clarified the qualified beneficiaries will not receive cash but materials needed for their livelihood as they stated in their submitted proposal. The LGU will be responsible for the purchase of materials to be given to the beneficiaries to ensure that the resources were properly utilized,” Pinol said. (NDBC)
