'Missing soldier dropped from 27th IB list

KORONADAL CITY - An Army private who went missing in South Cotabato has been dropped from the rolls of the 27th Infantry Battalion, an Army colonel said.Lt. Colonel Ronald Jess Alcudia, 27th IB chief, Private First Class Ken Subere, who went missing on April 12, has not returned to date and has not informed his immediate superior whether or not he is still interested in the military. Speaking to DXOM Radyo Bida Koronadal, Alcudia said according to military procedures, once a soldier went on leave for more than nine days and did not report for work, he or she is deemed AWOL or absence without official leave.Subere was last seen on board a motorbike en route to Barangay New Dumanggas, T'boli, South Cotabato.His mobile phone cannot be reached since.His mother as sought the help of South Cotabato Gov. Daisy Avance Fuentes.Fuentes believed Subere could have been kidnapped by New Peoples Army rebels operating in the mountains of T'boli.
