(UPDATE)KIDAPAWAN CITY-(Sept. 20) — Two mild quakes hit North Cotabato and Sultan Kudarat onSaturday morning, an official from state volcanology department here said today. Engr. Milo Tabigue, Philvolcs sub-office assistant officer, said the epicenter of the 4.4 magnitude tremorin North Cotabatowas traced six kilometers southeast of Makilala, North Cotabato and struck at 5:59 a.m.It has a dept of one kilometer and tectonic in origin.About an hour later, another mild tremor was recorded at 7:09 with a magnitude of 4.7and traced east ofColumbio, Sultan Kudarat.It has a depth of 15 kilometers, Phivolcs said.No reported damage to property as of posting.
