Man with TB leaps to death in So. Cotabato hospital

KORONADAL CITY - Officials of a government hospital here are investigating the alleged leaping off of a male patient from the third floor of the South Cotabato Provincial Hospital on Friday.Crisanto Saldua, 53 of Tampakan, South Cotabato was confined to the government hospital on Feb. 26 due Tuberculosis. But for still unknown reason, Saldua who was confined at the pay-wing section of the hospital, rushed to the third floor and leaped to death.Puzzled by his unusual behavior, the wife, Annable, tried to stop Crisanto from leaving his room, to no avail. She alerted the security guards who tried, but failed, to save Crisanto.After his fall, guards rushed him to the emergency room where he expired.
