Malaysian traders to invest in poultry production in Cotabato City
COTABATO CITY –
Malaysian investors are coming over on Dec. 8 to explore and eventually
formalize its intention to invest in poultry management in the city, the city
mayor’s office today said.
Aniceto
Rasalan, executive assistant to Mayor Japal Guiani Jr, said the investors are
looking forward for the completion of the country’s first halal”
slaughterhouse that will complement the poultry investment of Malaysian
traders.
The most
modern slaughterhouse will start operating later this year and full blast by
January 2015.Rasalan said
the Malaysian traders will be meeting with local counterpart in running the poultry
business which is expected to provide employment and revenue to the city.
He said
Malaysian chose Cotabato City because it was awarded as one of the country’s business-friendly”
city.
He refused to
say how much investments the Malaysian traders are pouring in.
