Maguindanao cop, woman nabbed for shabu possession

COTABATO CITY – A police officer assigned in Maguindanao and a woman were arrested
by Cotabato City police personnel while in a pot session inside a lodging house
here Thursday.
Suharto
Mamasalanao Gumnay, 33, a police officer assigned in Municipal police station
in Shariff Aguak, Maguindanao and a woman identified only as Nadja of Barangay Rosary
Heights 6, Cotabato City were arrested inside Carta de Amor Inn along Yapsea
Street, Barangay Rosary Heights 10 at 11:30 p.m. Thursday.
The police were
backed by village watchmen. Mayor Cynthia Guiani-Sayadi also led the Ronda
Patrol during the operation.
Seized from
the suspects were two sachets of shabu and disposable lighter.
Charges for
violation of Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act are being prepared against the
suspects now detained at Police Station 2.Senior Supt. Agustin Tello, Maguindanao police director, confirmed Gumnay was a police officer assigned in Shariff Aguak.
