Magnitude 4.2 quake hits T'boli, South Cotabato

KORONADAL CITY -- While many were asleep, a magnitude 4.2 earthquake rocked parts of Mindanao at 2 a.m., state volcanology office said today.Tectonic in origin, the tremor has a depth of 23 kilometers and its epicenter was located 19 kilometers southeast of T'boli, South Cotabato.Intensity 4 was recorded in General Santos City. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said no aftershocks are expected but residents are advised to stay vigilant.No reported damages in the affected areas.
