Lanao Sur town councilor nabbed during anti-drug ops
CAMP SIONGCO, Maguindanao - A municipal councilor was arrested and 2others eluded from the arresting authority in a separate drug operations today, June 13, 2018 in Balabagan, Lanao del Sur.The drug raid was conducted by the personnel of Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency of Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (PDEA-ARMM), Special Action Force of the PNP with the 6thInfantry Battalion.The arrested suspect was identified as Abedin Disalongan, a municipal councilor in Balabagan.The operation was carried by virtue of search warrant at the suspect’s residence at around 5and00 a.m.During the operation, the authorities recovered from the suspect 50 grams of suspected crystal methamphetamine, one M16 rifle, two 9mm pistols and one Toyota Hilux.In separate anti-illegal operation, a suspected couple were able to elude arrest at their residence in Barangay Banago when they sensed the arresting team.The couple was identified as Billy Jack Ogca, a newly elected barangay councilor, and his wife, Mayleen Biruar.Seized from their home were sachets of suspected shabu weighing 60 grams, digital weighing scale and several bank documents.The arrested suspect and confiscated evidences are now in the custody of PDEA for proper disposition and will be charged for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act.Joint Task Force Central Commander Brigadier General Cirilito E. Sobejana said that the Law Enforcement Support Operation on the campaign against illegal drugs will be strengthened to eradicate the menace of the drug trade in Central Mindanao.
