Koronadal cops arrest 5 in anti-illegal drug operation
KORONADAL
CITY – A wanted illegal drug pusher and four of his clients were arrested
during police anti-illegal drug operation in Barangay Sto Nino, this city
Thursday morning, police said.
Supt.
Barney Condes, city police director, identified the suspects as Romeo Campos,
No. 2 in the PNP drug watch list, and his clients Roldan Bacolod, Mary Millan,
Rosemarie Bacolod and Charina Austrias, all residents of Barangay Avancenia,
Koronadal City.
Condes
said a buy bust operation was conducted at 9:30 a.m. where Campos sold a sachet
of suspected shabu to a police poseur buyer.
After the deal, police barged in.
The
four clients” were also buying illegal stuff when the raid was conducted so
they too were arrested.
Police
seized from Campos a large sachet of shabu and three other small sachets and
illegal drug paraphernalia.
Charges
for violation of Republic Act 9165 are being prepared against the suspects.
Meanwhile,
in Tantangan, South Cotabato, police raided a house of suspected illegal drug
pushers before sunrise Thursday.
Police
were after brothers Rolly, Borja and Eden, all surnamed Austria who were known
illegal drug peddlers in Tantangan.
However,
the suspects outsmarted the police by fleeing before the law enforcers could reach
their home in Barangay Lambunao.
Seized
were firearms and shabu paraphernalia.
Police
said the suspects have been arrested before but managed to post bail.
