BANGA, South Cotabato -- For ignoring calls for suspected illegal drug pushers and couriers, a couple was arrested here at dawn today. Another man who roam around a remote village in nearby Surallah town while pushing illegal drugs was also arrested. Chief Inspector Marvin Duadua, Banga town police chief, said the couple, Allan Castrodes, 30, and Cecilia dela Pena, 36, were urged earlier to surrender and avail of the government's rehabilitation program. Despite the calls, the couple continued their business of pushing prohibited substance. At least 500 individuals in Banga have showed up to police offices and declared their intention to change for good and do away with illegal activities. I have no idea why they ignored our calls, we have arrests warrants for them and we served it today, Duadua said. But the suspects told reporters they did not imagine the police will arrest them and they did not believe that President Duterte will make good his promise to arrest all personalities involved in illegal drug. The couple were surprised when lawmen surrounded their home in Purok Maligayan, Banga, South Cotabato. They did not resist arrest. Lawmen seized at least three sachets of shabu and illegal drug paraphernalia from Castrodes and dela Pena. They repacked the substance into smaller packs and sell them to their clients, Duadua said, adding that an estimated cost of seized materials could reach Php15,000. Duadua said the couple buys the substance from unidentified source for Php5,000 and retail them to earn between P12,000 to P15,000. Duadua added that the raiding team was armed with arrest warrants issued by Judge Glenn Quimba of 2nd Municipal Circuit Trial Courts for Banga and Tantangan. In Surallah, also in South Cotabato, police arrested a man known in the community as gun-totting illegal drug pusher following an illegal drug buy bust operation. Chief Inspector Joel Fuerte, Surallah town police chief, identified the suspect as Danny Maganto, a resident of Barangay Lamian. Seized from Maganto were several sachets of shabu and an unlicensed cal. 45 pistol. He told police that he was possessing a gun to protect himself from his unknown enemies. The raid was conducted by virtue of a search warrant issued by Judge Jose Abu Felipe of Municipal Circuit Trial Courts of Surallah and Lake Sebu. sand//scontent.fmnl4-3.fna.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-0/s480x480/13510859_996458767127599_4940737820670394457_n.jpg?oh=b5ca4ee2ab7a391281032ac17ef3e0feandampoe=58342270
