IED blast hits police patrol car in Maguindanao, nobody hurt
SHARIFF AGUAK,
Maguindanao – An improvised bomb was set off by still
unidentified men along the national here Tuesday night that damaged a police
patrol car, police said.
Nobody was
hurt in the blast in Barangay Satan, near the old Maguindanao provincial
capitol now the headquarters of an Army Mechanized Infantry Brigade.
Inspector
Rasul Pandulo, Maguindanao police spokesperson, said the IED fashioned from
powder with cut nails as shrapnel was set off at about 9 p.m.
Nobody was
hurt among the police officers on board the patrol car of Datu Odin Sinsuat
Municipal Police Office.
No one has
claimed responsibility for the road side bombing which has become a regular occurrence
in Maguindanao highways targeting military and police authorities.
Pandulo said investigation continues.
