Handsome Maguindanaon to represent PH in int'l competition

COTABATO CITY - A Maguindanaon registered nurse who works at
the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) Cotabato City office has made
waves in the country and hopefully internationally.
Nikko Sinsuat Abdul, a 23-year-old native of Sultan Kudarat,
Maguindanao recently won as one of theMister United Continents-Philippines (MUCO) 2015,
bringing honor and pride to his native Maguindanao which is still reeling from
all negative news of massacre, wars, terrorism and bombings.
Abdul also won the titles Mister Mindanao,” Mister AKIRA,”
Best in Festival and Regional Costume.”
Words cannot express the feeling today. I just can't
even explain how absolutely grateful and thankful I am every day for all of the
blessings I have in my life. And for that, let me express my sincerest thanks
and gratitude to several people who made my MUCP journey possible and a worthy
experience, Abdul posted on his Facebook account after winning the title
in the April 14 pageant in Pasig City.
As among theMUCP, Abdul will be representing the country in the
global competition, tentatively scheduled in Puerto Rico in September this
year.
His costume of Maguindanao’s famous leader, Sultan Kudarat,
caught the attention of the judges, giving him the Best in Festival and
Regional Costume” award.
The lone Muslim in the competition, Abdul bested 38 other
aspirants.
He said Maguindanao was not only about war, conflict and
violence. The province has a lot of
talented persons that, if given the chance, will shine and at par with others in
the country.
