Gov’t troops arrest man in drug trade, seize 7 high caliber guns in Maguindanao

SIONGCO, Maguindanao –- The military here announced today the
arrest Sunday of a man wanted for illegal drug peddling and seized seven high
powered firearms.
Capt.
John Arvin Encinas, spokesperson of the 6th Infantry Kampilan
Division based in Datu Odin Sinsuat (DOS), Maguidnanao, identified the wanted person
as Mike Diocolano, 49 a resident of Barangay Marquez, Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao.

said elements of the 19th Infantry Battalion assisted a team of
police from DOS municipal police office and Criminal Investigation and
Detection Group (CIDG) in serving the search warrant against Diocolano at 2:30
a.m. in his house in Barangay Marquez.Diocolano
did not resist arrest and awakened by soldiers already inside his home.
Encinas
said the raiding team recovered one M-16 Bushmaster, two Armalite rifles, a 12–gauge
shotgun, a cal. 45 pistol, a cal. 22 revolver, four rifle grenades, handheld
radio and ammunition.
Diocolano
is now under the custody of PNP Criminal Investigation and Detection Group in
the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (CIDG-ARMM) undergoing tactical
interrogation. Colonel
Jesus Sarsagat, 603rd Infantry Brigade chief, said his unit will
always ready to provide additional manpower in law enforcement operation
against illegal drugs and illegal firearms in its area of jurisdiction.Maj. Gen. Arnel dela Vega, 6th ID chief, lauded the Army operating troops for the successful operation and vowed the military will continue helping other law enforcers implement warrants against wanted persons.
