North Cotabato – A farm family here is crying for justice after its daughter was found dead in a banana plantation of Barangay Binay.
Police
have launched a manhunt against a man who allegedly abducted, raped and killed
a 13-year-old daughter of a farmer couple Sunday.
Relatives
and police found the bloodied remains of April Joy Bangunon in a banana
plantation in Barangay Binay, Magpet on Sunday morning, according to report
from Magpet PNP, headed by Senior Insp. Realan Mamon.
April
Joy was last seen Saturday evening in front of a variety store in Barangay Binay
and believed to have been seized by the suspects and brought to a banana plantation.
A
post-mortem examination revealed the girl was sexually molested before she was
killed. Police did not say how she was
killed.
Her
family is crying for justice and urged the police to dig deeper into the case
so the perpetrator will be brought before the bar of justice.
