Fire hits Koronadal City residential area

KORONADAL CITY – A fire believed to have been triggered by an abandoned candlegutted more than 20 homes made of light and semi-concrete materials in Casa Subdivision here.City fire chief Reginald Legaste said the fire broke out at about 7:50 p.m. in a house owned by Melanie Aquasito in Barangay Zone 3.Legaste said firefighters had difficulty reaching the fire scene due to narrow passageway.On orders of City Mayor Peter Miguel, the city social welfare office distributed food packs, mat and blanket to fire victims.Village officials were looking for two men last seen in the house of Aquasito before the conflagration.
