Duterte awards cops who excelled in Oplan Double Barrel, directs them to defeat drug addicts, criminals and lawless elements

KORONADAL CITY
– President Rodrigo Duterte on Friday reiterated his policy of defeating
criminals and lawless elements that continue to pose threat to peaceful
Filipino citizens.

Speaking
before officers, men and women of Police Regional Office (PRO) No. 12, Dutertes
directed the police in the SOCCSKSARGEN region to rout crime offenders who
refused to peacefully surrender to competent authority.

Hanapin
ninyo ang mga durugista, mga kriminal, mga holdaper, kidnapper, hanapin ninyo,
arestuhin ninyo, pag ayaw sumurender at lumaban (Find drug addicts, criminals,
holduppers, kidnappers, arrest them and if they resist and fight back) and they
present a violent resistance and if you think that life, your life as an
arresting officer is in danger, shoot them dead... that is the order until now,
Duterte told police officers.

President lauded PRO-12 officers and law enforcers for the job well done in the
implementation of Oplan Double Barrel,” a comprehensive police anti-crime and
anti-drug operations aimed at cleansing the society of lawless elements and
crime offenders.

Duterte also conferred
awards to select officers for performing their duties and mandate beyond what
is expected of them.

The awardees
also received Php200,000 each as cash incentives.

Supt. Romeo
Galgo, PRO-12 regional spokesperson, said the awardees include the followingand Special
Action Force (SAF) Senior Inspectors Reynante Pascua and Renato Monreal II for
act of heroism displayed as team leaders of Reconnaissance and Quick
Reactionary Force during the implementation of warrant of arrest against
Mohamad Jaafar Maguid @ Tokboy Maguid at Sitio Kamadit, Brgy. Daliao, Maasim,
Sarangani Province on August 20, 2016 which resulted to the encounter and
neutralization of three members of Tokboy’s Group, apprehension of Mustapha
Gansing, and the recovery of assorted high-powered firearms and various
documents on bomb making.

Also awarded
of Medalya ng Kadakilaan” were PO3 Marcial Inuguidan and PO2 Jeffrey D Benito
for the same accomplishment who acted as members of the assaulting team.

Supt. Maximo
Sebastian Jr, chief of Regional Anti-Illegal Drug Special Operations Task Group
(RAIDSOG-12), was awarded Medalya ng Kagalingan” for meritorious act displayed
as over-all ground commander during the implementation of six Search Warrants
for Violation of RA 9165 and RA 10591 that resulted to the neutralization of
Jackie Kamilan and the arrest of Mohammad Upam and Bong Labtan on July 21, 2016
in Tacurong City.

In that
operation, the police recovered two caliber 45 pistol with ammunition, two
caliber 40 pistol, two units replica 5.56 M16 rifle, a hand grenade, three heat
sealed of methamphetamine hydrochloride, assorted steel magazines and several
rounds of live ammunition.

Duterte also
awarded Medalya ng Kagalingan” to Supt. Joffel Remudaro of Saranggani Police
Office for eminently meritorious and invaluable services rendered as the case
officer which led to the implementation of warrant of arrest against Mohamad
Jaafar Maguid @ Tokboy Maguid at Sitio Kamadit, Brgy. Daliao, Maasim, Sarangani
Province on August 20, 2016 which resulted to the encounter and neutralization
of three members of Tokboy’s Group, apprehension of Mustapha Gansing , and the
recovery of assorted high-powered firearms and various documents on bomb
making.

Medalya ng
Kasanayan” was also awarded to Supt. Joefel Siason of Sultan Kudarat Police
Office for eminently meritorious and invaluable services rendered as Chief of
Police of Isulan Municipal Police Station who ranked as Number One among other
police stations of Sultan Kudarat Police Provincial Office during the 2nd
Evaluation of Project Double Barrel covering the period from July 01- September
01, 2016.

Medalya ng
Kasanayan” was awarded to Chief Inspector Mae Grace Licudan of Gen. Santos City
Police Office for eminently meritorious and invaluable services rendered as
Chief of Police of GSCPO-Police Station 5 who ranked as Number One among other
stations of General Santos City during the 2nd Evaluation of Project Double
Barrel covering the period from July 01- September 01, 2016.

Chief
Inspector Lorenzo Henares III of Cotabato City Police Office was awarded Medalya
ng Kasanayan” for eminently meritorious and invaluable services rendered as
Chief of Police of Cotabato City Police Office- Police Station 1 who ranked as
Number One among other police stations of Cotabato City during the 2nd
Evaluation of Project Double Barrel covering the period from July 01- September
01, 2016.

Medalya ng
Kasanayan” was awarded to Chief Inspector Geovanni Ladeo of South Cotabato
police provincial office for eminently meritorious and invaluable services
rendered as Chief of Police of Polomolok Municipal Station who ranked as Number
One among other police stations of South Cotabato Police Provincial Office
during the 2nd Evaluation of Project Double Barrel covering the period from
July 01- September 01, 2016.

Chief
Inspector Neil Wadingan of Sarangani Police Provincial Office was awarded Medalya
ng Kasanayan” for eminently meritorious and invaluable services rendered as
Chief of Police of Glan Municipal Police Station who ranked as Number One among
other police stations of Sarangani Police Provincial Office during the 2nd
Evaluation of Project Double Barrel covering the period from July 01- September
01, 2016

Medalya ng
Kasanayan” was awarded to Senior Inspector Felix Fornan of North Cotabato
Police Office for eminently meritorious and invaluable services rendered as
Chief of Police of Tulunan Municipal Police Station who ranked as Number One among
other police stations of Cotabato Police Provincial Office during the 2nd
Evaluation of Project Double Barrel covering the period from July 01- September
01, 2016.
