DTI-12 offers livelihood trainings

COTABATO CITY -- The Department of Trade
and Industry will conduct in Gen. Santos City from Nov. 13 to 15 livelihood
trainings for prospective entrepreneurs, the DTI’s office in Cotabato announced
Wednesday.
Carlito Nuñez, officer-in-charge for
Cotabato City of DTI Region 12, said the trainings are part of the activities
highlighting the Treasures of Region 12 Trade Fair” in Gen. Santos City.
The trade fair aims to showcase the economic
potentials of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Central Mindanao.
The DTI’s office in Cotabato City will
continue to accept until next week applications for participation to the
trainingsand trendy beads making, pinasugbu sweetened banana production tamarind
and sweet potato-candy-making siomai making and buko and pineapple pie baking.
Interested applicants can inquire and file
applications at the DTI’s office in Cotabato City, Nunez said.
The trendy beads making and the pinasugbu
sweetened banana making instructions will be held on Nov. 13 and 14,
respectively, at Gensan’s SM City.
The tamarind and sweet potato candy making
class will be conducted also on Nov. 14 at the same mall.
The siomai making and buko and pineapple
baking lectures will be held simultaneously on Nov. 15, also at Gensan’s SM
City.
Nunez said the Nov. 13-16 regional trade
fair will also be held at the same venue.
