DOLE-XII to aid firecrackers workers affected by stoppage order

KORONADAL CITY - The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE)in Region 12 will extend help to workers affected by stoppage order for all establishments engaged in manufacture and sale of pyrotechnics and firecrackers. This program will benefit the affected workers through DOLE's Bureau of Working Conditions, Dole-12 Regional Director Albert Gutib said. Gutib said the work stoppage order came after an explosion in a firecrakcer factory in Bulacan on Nov. 23.No known firecracker manufacturers in Region 12 but many work in the sale and distribution of pyrotechnics.
