DOLE Kidapawan to distribute 'Kabuhayan starter kits'
KIDAPAWAN CITY
– The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE-12) is set to extend a P12
million worth livelihood package to about 1,000 indigent beneficiaries here.
The project,
dubbed as DOLE Integrated Livelihood and Emergency Employment Program (DILEEP),
aims to help indigent residents earn a decent sources of income.
Implemented by
the Public Employment and Services Office (PESO), the program was in
partnership with the Kidapawan City local government.
And with the
help of the city government, PESO listed more than 1,000 indigent residents to
benefit from the program which is also implemented in other local government
units in the region.
List up was
conducted in various villages through the PESO sa Barangay” program to
validate and ensure the beneficiaries are the most needy citizens.
In previous DILEEP
implementation in other local government units, DOLE 12 Regional Director
Domingo has appealed to beneficiaries not to waste the chance given by the
government to improve their present situation.
The Kidapawan
beneficiaries are set to receive DOLE Kabuhayan Starter Kits” that include
Manicure sets, Food processing, Carenderia, Carpentry, Plumbing and Household
Services, vulcanizing, computer repair and programming, Balut Maker, Barbecue
