Blast rocks near house of Maguindanao vice gov

An improvised explosive device went off outside the residential
compound of Maguindanao Vice Gov. Lester Sinsuat in Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao
Saturday night, police said.

No one was
hurt in the blast that came at 8:50 p.m., according to Chief Inspector Achmad
Alibonga, Datu Odin town police chief.

Alibonga said
it was not clear what type of explosive was used or it was meant for the vice
governor or not.

Investigation
continues.

Vice Gov.
Sinsuat could not be reached for comment.
